Amanda Fearheiley, RDN, LD, CPT
Amanda was born and raised in Chesterland, Ohio. She went to the University of Dayton where she earned her BS in dietetics with a minor in management. She went on to complete her dietetic internship at OSF St Francis Medical Center in Peoria IL. Amanda has been a registered and licensed dietitian for over 20 years. Her nutrition treatment spans the life cycle and includes work at a pediatric genetics and metabolic clinic, the ICU in the hospital setting and outpatient counseling for bariatric nutrition, diabetes, weight management, athletes, and allergies/intolerances. Additionally, she is a consultant for many GI doctors around the Austin area. She also specializes in IV nutrition for patients that have serious gastrointestinal impairment. Amanda has worked in the fitness field as a dietitian for over 15 years. She has a strong background in sports medicine and therefore is able to teach balance between nutrition and physical activity to promote a healthy lifestyle for her clients. Amanda’s passion in the nutrition field is utilizing food as preventative medicine. Amanda helps her clients reach their health goals by applying nutrition science principles in a down to earth, realistic manner. One of her favorite quotes is by Hippocrates: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” In her free time, Amanda loves to spend time outdoors whether it is going for a run, playing at the park with her three children or enjoying a meal “alfresco” that she and her husband have prepared.
